$8050 per person
(Does not include airfare to Bangkok)
A $3,000 deposit is due by September 1, 2020 to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due by October 1, 2020. $1000 of the initial deposit qualifies as a tax deduction and is non-refundable. A full refund of the remainder ($2000) will be given if the Covid-19 situation does not improve enough to make travel safe by October 1, 2020.
Please Note
A minimum of 6 people is required to run the trip. Please do not book your airfare until the minimum is confirmed. Space is limited to 10-12 people total.
Price does not include airfare to Bangkok, Thailand. Fares vary depending on the time of year and booking company. Travel time is usually 2 calendar days on the way there and 2 days on the way back. It is strongly advised that you fly LA or San Francisco to Bangkok leaving Dec. 3, 2020 so you arrive in Bangkok Dec. 4 in the late evening. We then sleep at the airport hotel Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi the night of Dec. 4 and 5 (about $150 USD a night). You book this separately yourself. We will all meet at the Novotel pool for last minute questions Dec. 5 exact time TBD.
We fly from Bangkok to Paro, Bhutan December 6 together. I recommend you stay in Novotel Dec. 17 as well and book the flight back to LA or SFO Dec. 18.
Services Include
• Trip liaison and guide, Tribal Trust Vice President, Maya Shaw Gale
• Assistance upon arrival at Paro airport
• Accompanying English speaking, professionally certified Bhutanese trip leader
• All Bhutan Visa fees
• All current applicable government taxes and Tourist Development Funds
• Accommodations, including lodges and camping cots/tents, based on double occupancy
• All meals from lunch on Day 1 to breakfast on day 11 in Bhutan
• Hot tea, coffee, snacks each day along the journey
• Ground transportation on a Toyota Coaster Bus with a certified, trained professional driver
• Bottled water in ground transport at all times
• Sightseeing and activities per itinerary – fees for entry to museums, parks, and dzongs – Butter lamp ceremony, drum ceremony, cooking with Monpa people, prayer flag ceremony, Archery lesson, dignitary dinner
• Use of camping equipment all set up – stand up tent, sleeping bag, pad, toilet, shower, cot
• Tipping for the Bhutanese guides and drivers
• Geo Blue evacuation insurance in case of political, natural or medical disaster
Not included in Trip Price
• International airfare to Bangkok
• Overnights in Bangkok on way to Bhutan (2) and back at the end of trip (1)
• Food in Bangkok
• Baggage insurance and trip cancellation charges
• Drinks at restaurants (if other than coffee, tea and water) such as alcohol or soda
• Any meals not in the itinerary
• Personal services like spa treatments, phone calls, laundry

Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended. $1000 QUALIFIES AS TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Please note: $1000 of the total initial deposit of $3000 qualifies as a tax deduction and is non-refundable. A full refund of the remainder ($2000) will be given if the Covid-19 situation does not improve enough to make travel safe by October 1, 2020.
