Aboriginal Artist Anna Tilmouth Pengarte, “Native Fuchsia Dreaming”
As we begin 2023, the Tribal Trust is energized and blessed with new board members; Margaret Loncki as our new treasurer. Margaret is the Director of Operations at Certis Capital Management, a multi-family office primarily specializing in non-correlated alternative investments. She oversees all aspects of operations and directs efforts to continually improve and customize Certis’ capabilities to best serve clients’ needs. With a passion for ocean conservation, she has conducted research on the effects of apex predator ecotourism on the conservation outcomes of marine protected areas.
We also welcome Jackie Gilbert to our board. Jackie’s organization, One Thread Collective, is a fiscal partner of the Tribal Trust Foundation. With a background as a researcher, organizer, and volunteer in several social movements in South America, Jackie is dedicated to supporting Indigenous peoples’ struggles for land and water protection. She has conducted fieldwork in Bolivia, Cuba, and Colombia with a focus on water scarcity from an anthropological lens since 2014. Jackie is passionate about supporting the self-determination of First Nations communities, and about holding extractivist industries accountable for human rights abuses and violence against nature.
Chumash Elder and Firekeeper Art Cisneros has transitioned off the board and into a role as an Advisor. Our sincere gratitude to Art for his continued dedication to our organization.

2023 PERSONAL INTENTIONS FOR HEALING
This year, we are being called to be more active participants in healing Nature. For the well-being of all life, we are focusing on our unified purpose of stewardship of Mother Earth and in support of Indigenous peoples who know how to live in harmony with nature and each other. For each of us to be more effective in delivering our specific talents, gifts, and energy towards this purpose, we need to build community of friends and associates who share interests. We hope the Tribal Trust Foundation can serve as this community. We invite you to pause, reflect, and set personal intentions for healing.
