PERU + THE SHIPIBO
- Attended Indigenous Philanthropy Conference to benefit local tribes
- Education on environmental threats facing community - illegal logging & mining
- Funded traditional Shipibo-Konibo workshops (embroidery, ceramics, singing, dancing) in the Amazon for Elders to transfer their knowledge to children
NAMIBIA + THE SAN BUSHMEN
- Documented songs, dances & traditions
- Photographed each member of the tribe to preserve culture
- Produced documentary to bring international awareness to tribe's possible extinction
- TTF documentary Vanishing Cultures. The Human Studies Film Archive at the Smithsonian accepted all of our footage and photographs from both cultural preservation initiatives into their permanent collection
- Funded, helped organize, and documented on film and photography, a Ju/Hoansi healing trance dance gathering to pass on the technology to future generations
CONGO + THE MBUTI
- Organized art exhibition to bring attention to deforestation & loss of culture
- Traveling exhibit helps to inform public on tribe's vital relationship to the forest
- Placed the exhibition with Anneliese Schools (https://www.annelieseschools.com) to ensure Mbuti's message reaches future generations
BHUTAN + THE MONPA
- Organized several past & future donor trips to help raise awareness & funds for various projects
- Partnered with the Tarayana Foundation to fund cultural preservation projects
- Established Monpa Day, Heritage Museum, & Herbal Medicine Garden
- Established a Monpa museum and medicinal herb garden in Monpaland
- Funded a traditional nettle cloth workshop and 60 Monpa were provided with their traditional nettlecloth clothing
- Funded a workshop for Laya youth to learn how to make their traditional clothing
- Published the book, Monpa Medicinal Plants: Indigenous Knowledge, from a Himilayan Healer
AUSTRALIA + THE YOLNGU
- Participated in the Garma Festival with the Yothu Yindi Foundation
- Educated public on environmental awareness, indigenous rights, & economic challenges
