The Tribal Trust Foundation (TTF) serves as an ally organization and a messenger between worlds. TTF has well-established, authentic relationships with Indigenous communities coupled with a deep desire to help bring sacred Native wisdom back to the modern world. TTF plays an important role as a messenger in this landscape.

Last year the TTF supported Indigenous grassroot sustainable projects in Bhutan, Namibia, Tanzania, Peru, Cameroon, Brazil, Canada, and the USA. This year, we are being asked by more Indigenous Peoples living in the most remote areas of the world for help. For example, on our TTF safari last October in Tanzania, we met with members of the Hadza community. They are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherers in the world. The Hadza struggle to survive without water for themselves and their wildlife. When asked how TTF can help, they unanimously requested a waterhole for themselves and their wildlife. In addition, they asked for access to a government-sponsored school. Their dream is to have a Hadzane speaking school near their village, which TTF would like to support in the future. Access to water and education are critical to a better and more sustainable life.

As members of the Shaman’s Directory explain,
“At its core, sacred activism is about recognizing the interconnectedness of all beings and the sacredness of life. It invites us to take a stand for what we believe in, from a place of compassion, love, and a sense of responsibility. When we take action on behalf of our Mother Earth, her land, her water, her people, or her creatures, we are showing others that we are willing to put ourselves on the front lines for a better future. Ultimately, each sacred act we take empowers us to be agents of change, fostering deeper connections with ourselves and the world around us.”
