We are overjoyed that the Tribal Trust in partnership with Voice Org. was able to purchase Apple iPads and smart covers for the senior class of Monument National High School in Keyanta, Arizona. Hailey Celine Holiday – a student at the high school, initially informed the Tribal Trust that due to the pandemic causing the local schools to close, it became a real struggle for students to complete their schoolwork due to the difficulty of connecting to the internet and a lack of access to devices like iPads. This technology will allow Navajo students to get back online and reconnect with their education, including traditional language classes.

TTF remains committed to supporting the students and community as a partner in a collaborative research project to share how the tribe has been impacted by the pandemic, discover their current needs, and understand how best we can amplify their collective voices.
